Be My Baby Blue

Perk up your day with some delicious new shoes, and how could you get much cuter than these powder blue boots by Sophia Webster, available here from www.matchesfashion.com.

A delicate shade of sky blue, these feminine but modern shoes feature pretty bow and frill detailing along with polka-dot mesh for an extra helping of girlish innocence.

I'd keep it pretty and pair with a clean and crisp white shift for a fresh look.

Pastel Sophistication

1. This Princess necklace by Mawi is a dream.
2. I love this Whistles creamy handbag - so chic.
3. This £10 Accessorize ring really does belie it's wonderful price tag.
4. I LOVE Zara's shoes at the moment and very nearly bought these block heel rose gold courts today.
5. It's nearly sold out online, but this pretty pink cami from Topshop is a steal at £18- a great summer essential.
6. The minute I tried these palazzo pants on, I fell in love. I can't quite bring myself to spend on a pair of white chiffon trousers that are so elegantly floor-sweeping... For they'll get filthy in NO time at all. But a girl can dream... And these are dreamy.

Dresses Made for Dazzling

Often I find myself falling head over heels in love with clothes. I see something I want and I must have it.

Earlier this month I did THIS blog post to keep my spending controlled and so far I have been a reasonably good girl! My latest purchase has been this white dress from Miss Selfridge which is beyond gorgeous.

Sadly, though, on entering the Miss Selfridge store I realised that this run of minimal spending has come to an end. How could I live without these sugary, floaty dresses? Just wouldn't be on!

Mid Week Mossy

Excuse my recent lack of posts- I have been on holiday where wi-fi is beyond temperamental. My salvation has been the fact that the local newsagent stocks Grazia- THANK GOD.

However, I have put together a few little image-based pieces for you to enjoy! Hope you like!

First up is Kate in these GORGEOUS peachy trousers. Pairing with simple black pieces, Kate shows that pastel colours do not have to be saccharine sweet. These Zara slouchy trousers are just like Kate's but are so comfortable- perfect for summer sunshine!

Monday

Hello Moto

In a mad panic over what to wear to London Fashion Week, I was- for the first time in my life, might I add- struggling to find something I wanted in Topshop.

In all seriousness. Me.

And before you snap "go somewhere else then...", I had a skirt to exchange. I saw many pretty dresses and lots of lovely shoes, but nothing was really grabbing me, until I saw a pair of pastel blue jeans.

To this day, I still regret starting ballet at the tender age of three as constant toe-pointing and tippy-toeing has left me with bulging calf muscles which have an annoying tendency to look chunky and tree-trunky. I digress, but basically light denim does NOT flatter me in the slightest.

However, these lovely Leigh jeans had to be an exception! They are soft and stretchy meaning they are comfortable and fit like a dream, and the colour is the perfect way to wear pastels this season without looking like a packet of Love Hearts.

I now have my heart set on the white jeans, and they have made it into my short and concise list of things I need for summer. I just love them! Trust me- these are tried and tested denim that I absolutely love. I don't think i'll be going back to my Abercrombie skinnies again, especially as these are just £38!

Get a pair here, but leave some white ones for me please?

Lemon Lovelies

by Shona Wallace, @SWfashion_

I can hardly resist sorbet shades this season, and this Topshop skirt really is the ultimate. Pretty pleats, a sweet lemon shade and a lovely drop hem. It's feminine, cheery and flattering- it will brighten up any day!

Pair with these gorgeous bright accessories for an on trend look which will certainly put a spring in your step!

Sunday

Fenton= New Obsession

This weeks' Grazia featured a gorgeous piece by Fenton (available at Liberty), and I just fell head over heels in love. I am obsessed with statement jewellery, and this stuff is every bit as gorgeous as my favourite brands like Mawi. I adore the pastels shades and would do anything to own one of the pieces! Definitely one to watch.

The chunky necklaces would be perfect with a nude shorts suit and bright heels for a fabulous evening look, or to lift a crisp white shirt and skinny jeans for day.

Springtime Sweetie

by Shona Wallace, @SWfashion_

Those pesky Siberian winds appear to have fled for the time being, and with London Fashion week about to kick off, there could not have been a better time for the sun to start shining.

Yesterday's temperatures were the highest I have experienced for weeks, and the bright sunny day, complete with blue skies, infinitely cheered me up. So here is a cheery pastel based post to get you all excited for Spring.

I know, I know... I should probably get over the pastel obsession but, as my friend Harriet of 'Falling in London', would agree, they are so mood-lifting and pretty! Frankly, they are good enough to eat!

This maxi dress is just lovely to pep up a dull day, especially with the adorable Mulberry jewellery which I have fallen for BIG time. Add other ice-cream shades to lift the look and total up some serious SS12 potential.

Saturday

Kurt Geiger SS12: Sun, Sea and Shoes

Kurt Geiger SS12
by Shona Wallace, @SWfashion_
I think I am in love with Kurt Geiger shoes, and having just spent ALL my Christmas and Birthday money in the KG sale, I have now got to start saving my (non-existent) pennies to try and afford some of these delectable, sugar-sweet treats on offer for Summertime.

Fresh as a 99 on a hot summers day (they do exist, I think...)this latest collection is a blend of butter soft suede in zingy brights, glossy pastel patent and sporty plastic detailing. Shades of mouth-watering mint dance beside soft corals in a mood lifting array of footwear that is really hitting the spot, even as I layer on the socks in preparation for a horrendous cold snap.

God help me and my toes if it does snow, but I shall distract myself by drawing up a lust list of these beautiful shoes.

Sugar, Spice (let's just ignore the price!)

by Shona Wallace, @SWfashion

Every single season, I fall in love with at least five items in the Mulberry collection, and this season is no obsession. It's getting quite frustrating as cash-strapped student.

Here is my pick of Mulberry's new stock (depress yourselves here!) and it really is so sweet. The pastel colours that are ubiquitous everyspring time are still around this year, and Mulberry have done their's in the most covetable fashion possible.

This is true dolly prettiness. Little shifts that kick out at the waist into full skirts just made for swirling, softly pointed pumps in glossy petal patents or scattered with gems, peplums that accentuate a dainty waist and beautiful structured handbags to add a ladylike edge. It's just perfection and I want every last piece.

Mulberry why, oh why, must you do this to me every season? Surely I don't deserve it...

p.s.

Excuse the lack of decent posts of late, it has just been my 18th birthday and i'm just getting back to reality! However, I was lucky enough to factor some Mulberry into my birthday weekend with a big sister for my Baby Oak Alexa- say hello to my new true love. Who needs a human Valentine? (keep checking the blog for a series of bitterness imbued posts about Valentines day!) I also thought i'd share with you lovely lot a picture of my AMAZING cake that my AMAZING parents got me as a total surprise. Red velvet cake in the form of a Louboutin shoe box with a barcode reading "Happy 18th Shona"... Why must it be over? Roll on my 21st!
