Tick Tock Hot to Trot

Charlotte Olympia Timeless Pumps £525 here

There was a time when I dreamed in Louboutin: my heart and soul longed for a flash of scarlet sole.

These days, though, Louboutin stands alongside a number of other fabulous footwear fancies: notably Charlotte Olympia and Sophia Webster, both of whom combine wearability and wit in their designs.

My latest obsession are these adorable "Timeless" pumps from the new Fall 2013 collection. A classic heeled slipper style, akin to those purr-fect Kitty heels (sorry), these velvety black pumps feature a golden clock for an idiosyncratic twist on a failsafe pump.

A charming addition to any shoe collection, these timeless courts will work with everything from the new vinyl A-lines through to your sculpted new season coat.

Treat yourself- they are timeless, after all.

Friday

Fash-fun Friday

1. Lanvin's ingenious Alber Elbaz
2. Does this woman need any introduction- tis the divine Ms Wintour, of course
3. From one Anna to another (anna-other?) the street style snapper's favourite: Ms Anna Dello Russo
4. Karl Who? You know who. Don't be silly.
5. Last but not least is the most iconic, cutting fashion journalist of recent years- Suzy Menkes

It's Fridaaaaaaay ya'll ! I'm so excited for the weekend, especially given as the blue skies are finally out and the temperature is borderline bearable.

For a little Friday fashion fun, I thought i'd share these amazing necklaces I found on Boticca today- how amazing are these little fashion pendants from Défilés from Paris?

It's high time to wear your favourite fashion figure round your neck with these long pendants with everyone from Karl through to the genius Alber Elbaz

Though they are not necessarily my personal style, there is no denying that these pendants are super cute and would make sure a lovely gift for any fashionable girl or guy out there. They are all around the £124 mark and are available here.

My personal pick has to be Anna Wintour and her signature bob/sunglasses combo. I'd pair with my current favourite Urban Outfitters blouse (this one- it's gorgeous on) and super skinny J Brand denim (got my eye on these Atelier-To-Go ones)

Which is your pick?

Plastic Fantastic

Ready to get plastic fantastic?

Say so long to that good old black/silver/bright clutch for the future, my friends, is crystal clear.

While these little boxy clutches are hardly practical, and not great for us messy sorts, these clutches are infinitely versatile and ideal for those with plenty to show off.

Just enough room for a striking purse, a slick iPhone case and some stylish make-up. Simple as that: you're good to go.

I particularly love the Charlotte Olympia offering (of course I do: it's ridiculously expensive and unattainable) but I feel that the other options are every bit as lovely.

1. This Zara number is a snip at £19.99 and a great way to add a flash of fluoro fun to your look. I'd wear with a simple white shift or separates from Reiss for a cool, modern look.

2. This Mettle clutch, 100% eco-friendly, is one of the more stylish clutches I found on the internet. Crafted from recycled lucite with a brushed gold clasp, this is an elegant take on the trend.  Though i'm not sure where you can buy in the UK, it does make for rather lovely eye-candy in the meantime. If you are lucky enough to be based in Australia, you can check it out here.

3. The ultimate, this Charlotte Olympia Pandora Classic has already sold out online. With three inserts in leopard print, taupe and black, this boxy perspex clutch features a gorgeously sweet spider clasp for a luxe investment buy (tis a whopping £595 here)

4. Another sold-out little number, this Nasty Gal clear clutch is just fabulously sexy. Their product shot is also the perfect example of what a clear clutch is for: showing off! Get this on your wishlist now, you can shop it here.

5. During London Fashion Week, I spotted blogger Monica Beatrice from The Elgin Avenue carrying this lovely clutch. When she told me it was from Accessorize I simply had to keep it in mind for a post, and this is it's moment to shine. In on-trend polka dots, this clutch features a taupe inner pocket for a neutral but contemporary little clutch. Plus, it's a snip at £29 here.

2. Topshop Shades £16
3. Jacket from Amazon £15
4. H&M Trousers £14.99
5. Topshop Vest £6
6. Topshop Peep-Toes £30 in SALE
6. ASOS bracelet £8

Halloween is a matter of weeks away and I am a little excited to celebrate here in London!

However, I find the ubiquity of lingerie-based Halloween outfits somewhat, for lack of a better word, horrendous.

So what are the options for us fashion-obsessed lot? Dress up as Karl? Dress up as Anna? Ho-hum...

DRESS UP AS AB FAB.

I shall be dressing up as the amazing Patsy Stone in a tribute to my favourite comedy show ever: Absolutely Fabulous, which is the best thing the BBC has ever done. Perhaps, in light of recent revelations, the only decent thing the BBC has ever done.

Bottle of Stolly in tow and a beehived wig, I shall be doing my favourite fictional fashion-journo proud!

What's Your A/W Persona?

Every season we are faced with a wealth of fashion trends ready to confuse and intimidate the living daylights out of us. One minute we are girly in saccharine sweet lace and the next we are clad in skintight leather wielding £500 whips. It's a tricky biz this fashion lark, but I do rather love it- just in case you were not quite aware...

I know that all those lovely fashion folk are risking life and limb at fashion week (as some tweets appear to suggest... First world problems, ladies and gents?) to peruse the SS13 collections for trends and the like, but in the real world it is only just starting to feel autumnal, and therefore it is time to immerse ourselves in our AW wardrobes.

Just hold on to your horses, I'm enjoying GBBO waaaay too much to be thinking about crop tops and bikinis just yet. Gimme gimme gimme that blanket coat and fur gilet - let this less than perfect body remain in blissful hibernation until there is no alternative!

So this post is a little guide on which Autumn/Winter persona to take on- its just a bit of fun really, not intended to be a deep psychological experiment that reveals your true self. I'm just a fashion blogger, sorry.

You have one of three options, revealed in my silly little Q&A below... This season will you be a goth, a geek or a glamazon?

Where do you tend to get your style inspiration?
A) Vogue, Harpers, Elle. It's all about the high end fashion houses and couture, anything avant-garde really.
B) Blogs. All about the blogs. I like accessible fashion, ya see, it's all about clothes that I can wear and look nice in.
C) Nowhere. I lead, I never follow... But I like to think my style is Daphne Guinness meets Rosie Huntington Whiteley at Studio 54 in Givenchy Haute Couture.

Who would you say you dressed for?
A) Facehunter, The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton.
B) Myself, I suppose. I wear whatever makes me feel good.
C) To keep my followers and admirers happy.

What was your favourite trend this summer?
A) Leather. It's my favourite trend every season, I love it's risque quality.
B) Pastels and lace probably. Feminine but understated.
C) 1970s Luxe, obviously. Lots of gloss and glamour for moi.

Who is your favourite designer?
A) It varies from season to season, of course. For A/W I was obsessed with Gucci and Givenchy.
B) I always love Chloé, Celine and Stella McCartney.
C) Dolce and Gabbana- if you've got a gilded black cloak and embellished knickers, i'm all yours.

Which is your favourite?

Fizzy Fashion

What is the world's most fashionable drink?...

Perhaps it's Champagne or a tall, extra hot, skinny, soy, double shot, no-whip latte? Or maybe it's Kate Moss' favourite Ritz cocktail (find out Kate's poison here), or crystal clear Grey Goose?

While there is no denying that all these drinks are more than a little bit chic, the fashionable tipple of choice always has been Diet Coke, and always will be!

Calorie free but sweet and fizzy, an ice-cold bottle of Diet Coke is the perfect stylish refreshment. Over the years Diet Coke has sponsored and collaborated with a number of fashionable folk, and it is certainly the best dressed soft drink.

The latest Haute Couture designer to work with Diet Coke is Jean Paul Gaultier who, as this year's Creative Director, has designed three limited edition bottles. The first two, pictured above, are due for release in Harvey Nichols stores nationwide as of April 16th- so not long to wait at all!

The bottles are called "Day", featuring the trademark Gaultier breton stripes, and "Night" which is reminiscent of those sexy Jean Paul Gaultier Madame bottles, with lacy corsetry and fishnet detail. The third design, "Tattoo", is set to be unveiled later this year, alongside a sweet collectors set including a navy and white striped glass.

As if I needed to feed my addiction to Diet Coke any more! I reckon Gaultier's are even more covetable than Lagerfeld's designs (see them here)

Sweetie Pie!

I love jewellery more than anything! Every single outfit, my friends joke, would be completed by “a blazer and lots of jewellery”. My signature pieces are layered gold pendants- current favourites include a layered fine chain with peace charms by Freedom at Topshop and a long gold Stella McCartney heart pendant- a fine gold watch, simple earrings and LOADS of rings. Anything from a Solange Azagury-Partridge inspired lips knuckleduster to fine Monica Vinader-esque rings from a little shop in Primrose Hill (a snip at £12- so many complements on them!), I have an ornamental swan on my desk with its neck cowering beneath a glistening stack of rings.

I love classy pieces like my garnet and diamond ring, an eighteenth birthday present, but I also love the truly kitsch and almost tacky. While fashion snobs would sneer at a necklace resembling a string of flumps or a Biscuit Boutique party ring necklace, I swoon at their total cuteness!

Imagine my joy, then, when I stumbled upon Punky Allsorts online. First I saw the amazing gummy bear rings, then I fell head over heels with the jewellery- everything from cola bottles to a “roast dinner” ring! I just love it, and I’m not the only one.

Recently Rita Ora donned the Bourbon biscuit knuckleduster (see it HERE on my new blog finding!), and Katy Perry often rocks Punky Allsorts pieces, like this baked beans ring which I think is just adorable!

If, like me, you have a sweet tooth but cannot feast on Haribos and iced gems as often as you may like, then Punky Allsorts may be just what you need… However, looking at all these sweet treats is making me hungry.

Apologies skinny jeans, there is a tin of Quality Street calling my name.

Thursday

Cheeky and Cheerful

Who doesn't love a bit of fashion fun? I, for one, love an outfit that cheers me up and these Bitching & Junkfood shorts are just the ticket. The bright yellow cut-offs have a little winking face on the back pocket, and are just too cute!

I, however, am nowhere near leggy or cool enough to pull these off, but I still absolutely love them!

Treat yourself to a little Thursday pick-me-up here

Tuesday

First look at Kate in Ab Fab!

I love this little clip of Kate Moss and Stella McCartney's cameo in Ab Fab! Amazing!

Monday

Cool or Kitsch?

This little clutch from ASOS is a little bit of cuteness to add a quirk to your LBD. But is it a little too cheesy for it's own good? Let me know your thoughts!
