Gifts with Wit by [v&bp]

Over Summer I have become obsessed with Pinterest. I could easily spend endless hours perusing various boards wondering why my dressing table never looks quite so elegant or my statement jewellery quite so twinkly.

Nevertheless, I do tend to find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest, particularly when it comes to interiors. While my dreams are unlikely to leap from the pages of Vogue to Homes & Gardens any time soon, I have grown to appreciate slick interior design and kooky finishing touches.

Later this month a couple of friends and I are due to move in to our new place in Battersea (yes, SW Fashion is moving SW). We are all hugely excited to get ourselves settled, and I have been hunting high and low for some stylish pieces to make our new flat look contemporary and chic. In my quest I have found a number of smaller brands which I just had to share with you, starting with Vinegar & Brown Paper.

Vinegar & Brown Paper is a charming boutique brand specialising in individually etched pieces ranging from lab glass through to sweetie jars and milk bottles. You can buy online, but [v&bp] is also stocked in a number of boutiques across England, all of which you will find listed here.

The witty pieces are unique and stylish, and really are the perfect gifts for he or she who appears to have EVERYTHING. Well, I bet they don't have a flask and beaker set engraved with GnT?

Vinegar & Brown Paper have something to suit everyone, be it an ink bottle engraved with Use Your Ink Well for budding wordsmiths or a personally engraved milk bottle for a newlywed couple.

If you are lacking gift inspiration, then you needn't look any further!

The stylish and modern brand produces pieces that are unique and picture-perfect: the sort of gift that you long to show off, the sort of gift that you are likely to remember.

I personally have fallen head-over-heels (as if often the case when gin is involved) with the GnT flask and beaker. They have that clinical aesthetic to a tee (oh hey there Aesop and Le Labo) and are sure to make Gin O'Clock a chic affair.

Girls with class don't need a glass... They need a litre flask.

The Creative Juices apothecary bottle also makes for a fabulous present for all those artistic types, who are notoriously tricky to buy for. You'll know it's a hit when it makes it to their Instagram feed complete with #bestpresent and #friendoftheyear.

So if you're thinking of buying me a flat-warming gift (!!), any of the above shall do the trick.

You can shop the full collection here.

Another week, another fantasy interiors post to get me feeling REALLY rubbish about the fact that i'm skint. Oh well, onwards and upward!

I thought i'd go all sweetness and light on you and present you with some pretty, pastelly, cutesy- wootsey-woo home goodies. I absolutely adore all these light hearted treats that should get me through all those stressful uni days!

I love, love, love these macaroon trinket boxes, shown to me by a friend, and i'm certainly popping them on the Christmas list (too early you say? PAH we've entered the "-embers")

I also have my little heart set on popping a few of these charming scrabble tiles up on my wall spelling out something uplifting- any suggestions?

And nobody suggest YOLO, okay?

Oh, with the puns again, I really am awful...

Anyway, this is the first of a few posts i'm doing in the run up to moving into my new flat in West London (sounds so much posher than it is!) just to help me decide how to decorate my new bedroom.

I feel that it is super-duper important to make whatever space you have very much your own. Whether you are residing in a penthouse apartment in The Shard or a prison-like room in halls, it's all about the decor.

I personally love to take a theme and stick to it when decorating my room, and it is usually a theme that allows for plenty of individuality and creativity. In my home in Edinburgh, my room is simple and monochrome with the main decor being Vogue-based collages and beautiful advertorials ripped from the pages of my favourite glossies.

For my new flat, though, i'm torn between a few different themes, so would love to get a bit of feedback from you guys about it! I also felt it was a good time to post just as so many of you are off to uni at the moment, or your first flat, and it's always nice to know what is out their to make your space a little more homely. I christen this, my friends, Flat-spiration, or Flat-spo.

First up we have the Bohemian Belle look which I just adore! I love this laid-back, Moroccan inspired look and think it would look great in a slightly messy student home, as mine is sure to become.
