From Monday morning cosies to tempt you out of bed through to warm-and-fuzzy Friday night funsies, here are a few of my favourite things for the week ahead.
Roll On Roll Necks
Be they patisserie sweet woolens at Whistles or 'hang on, let me just take out a loan' cashmere from The Row, this season's roll necks have serious sartorial clout. Concealing is the new revealing, don'tcha know, and right now nothing says sassy quite like a form-fitting polo neck, a natty little mini and thigh high flatties. Tights are optional, but those without the option of Uber-ing here, there and everywhere may wish to plump for good old opaques.
The polo neck is a master of versatility, so start your love affair with one fine-knit sweater in a wear-anywhere neutral, then build up your collection with a rainbow of neck-warming cosies. I suggest & Other Stories for chunky woolies, J. Crew and Les 100 Ciels for affordable cashmere and Whistles for trend-led knits.

Bobbl Me This
I've always approached hats with caution (except for that one time I bought a sequin spangled beret) but this winter I have softened to them. Though I'm all too tempted by a wool-felt fedora by & Other Stories, I have come to the conclusion that I am nowhere NEAR cool enough for that.
Instead, I have decided to get my head-topping kicks elsewhere. As far as I am concerned, keeping the heat in doesn't come much cooler than Bobbl's hats with interchangeable pom-pom toppers. Made in Leicester from pure Merino wool: a boring beanie this is not. Choose your base from an array of neutrals, then splash out on a different topper for every day of the week. From big fuzzy bobbles of petrol blue (this one would look amazing with black) through to petite mini candyfloss poms (match this one with grey) and tonal trios, this is a simple hat with endless colour pop possibility.
I'll be donning mine atop my polo neck knit and finishing with a mug of something mulled. Cider, wine or even a Negroni (at Night Tales in Shoreditch @NightTalesLDN, more on that later) will do.

Cartoonish Kicks
Sophie Hulme's sassy totes have been swinging from all the right shoulders for a fair few seasons now, but the latest offering from this lovely London lady is easily the best yet - particularly those googly eyed pom pom keyrings (Alan's my favourite). Though I am sure many stylish sorts will find one stuffed in their stocking, I personally cannot quite justify splashing out £115.00 on a cutie pie keyring.
Santa, if you're reading, I would rather find this little cranberry toned delight nestled under my tree. The very same shade as my mum's boozy cranberry jelly, it is just jazzy enough to spice up my vanilla day-to-day attire.

Scandi Baby
Now you have your cosy-cool kit in check, you need somewhere suitably stylish to show it off. Hi-ho, hi-ho, to the Skandilicious pop-up you go! Like most 20 something Londoners working in fashion, I am head over Airmax-clad heels in love with all things Nordic. Nestled in The Old Guardian Media House in Farringdon, the latest offshoot of Scandimania is a cultural delight for Swedes and Scots (yours truly) alike.
A cool-kid alternative to the Christmas night out, Skandilicious is a candlelit Smörgåsbord feast of traditional dishes including forest mushroom omelette, Vört bread and Julgröt - a Swedish-style porridge doused in cinnamon sugar. You can wash it all down with comforting goblet of almond-topped Glögg, or retire to The Loft bar for a cheeky dance and an award-winning cocktail or six (word has it, they are that good!)
