Isn't this supposed to be on Friday? Shhhhsht. I totally forgot to do it on Friday so I have had to do a shorter version this week just to keep you all up to date with the fashion going-ons in the lead up to the party- ahem, mince pie- season!

Sam Cam's gorgeous footwear
The British Fashion Awards were the big thing this week. The biggest excitement of the ceremony had to be Victoria Beckham's triumph over big designers to win Designer Brand of the Year (go Victoria!). Equally exciting, though expected, was Sarah Burton's big win of Designer of the Year- and she totally, totally deserved it in my view. Those body-contouring dresses won Stella McCartney the red carpet award- which she should perhaps share with Kate Winslet who hardly takes the dresses off- and Charlotte Olympia won the coveted accessories award with Sam Cam looking absolutely tremendous in a pair of her red satin heels (they are sooooo delicious- I want, I want, I want!) The outstanding achievement went to Sir Paul Smith (my dad will be happy) with his worldwide fashion empire that really says a lot for British fashion and how much modern society relies on it! And they wanted to cancel LFW?... Madness.

As a much anticipated tribute album is set for release this week, Amy Winehouse's dress has fetched £43,200 at a charity auction. The troubled, but remarkably talented, late singer wore the dress on the cover of the acclaimed 'Back to Black' and it is a piece of musical history. Designed by a CSM grad, the dress was archived and then donated for the charity auction where proceeds go to helping vulnerable young people.

H&M, you must stop! My bank account can not take it! Fresh from the chaos of the Versace launch, with tasseled dresses and leather flying left right and centre, H&M have only gone and announced another designer collaboration. While Vogue.com may have got my hopes up a little bit by suggesting a Tom Ford collection may be in the pipeline, I am equally pleased to reveal that Marni is the latest name to design for H&M. The niche designer, known for their fabulous statement jewellery in particular, will unveil the collection in March and it will be available in 260 different stores. I will be making a beeline for the jewellery- better start sharpening my elbows right about now.

Some people truly have no shame, and no class. A Louis Vuitton store in Paris has been the victim of a robbery with around €300,000 worth of goods stolen from the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport branch. Poor Louis Vuitton!
