Well kudos to Melanie Rickey who started an online petition (2000-strong) to bring the much celebrated Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty retrospective across the pond, her efforts have not been in vain and Alexander McQueen are currently investigating venues for the beautiful exhibition that I would give anything to see.
The gods at McQueen HQ have released a statement that brightened my morning right up, saying:
"Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the Savage Beauty exhibition... We have been in discussion with a number of major venues in London for some time now, however nothing has been finalised."
Hallelujah!
