AW 2011 Campaign Shots- rich burgundy and decadent textures |
This morning, after my usual jaunt to Waitrose to pick up some papers, I was greeted at the kitchen table by an espresso and the A/W11 Mulberry catalogue. My morning was made.
The Mulberry catalogues are always absolutely gorgeous- the inspirations for the collections are always very apparent in the little booklets. This one is a stylish little black book with a lovely pretty leaf detailing relating to the countryside-inspired range of mossy hued handbags and rich shades.
The collection itself is drool-worthy. I have often said that i'm not really big on handbags, with Mulberry being the only exception. When I got my Higher exam results I was torn between a laptop and Mulberry Alexa- guess which I opted for? But a tragic accident involving my Sparkle Tweed model and a brand new pair of jeans left my dad pretty angry and a full refund demanded! So I decided i'd take the laptop and make do and mend with a natty Next replica!
Each of Emma Hill's collections seems to top the last, and this season is no different. My lust list is topped by the "Short Polly Push Lock Duffle in Deer Brown Sheepskin"- a jacket that looks as cosy as a cuddle yet still oh so cool, closely followed by the brown quilted Alexa and the new 'it' bag that goes by the name of 'Carter'!
I came down to earth with a thud when tucked in the back page was the price list... We can always dream.

A couple more gorgeous Mulberry pieces- this coat will have ruined all high street efforts for me. Why wasn't I born rich? |
