Would you expect anything less than all-out fabulous-ness at the CFDA awards in NYC? Of course not!
The official winners last night included Marc Jacobs picking up a lifetime achievement award, Lady Gaga taking home a fashion icon award, Pheobe Philo collecting best international designer and womenswear designer of the year going to the duo behind Proenza Schouler.
And the winners on the red carpet? It's difficult to pinpoint the best amongst a sea of dominantly models, who'd look fantastic in a bin bag, but my favourites had to be Pheobe Philo rocking a Celine tux with aplomb and Chanel Iman in a turquoise gown that screams "summer, summer, summer!"
And kudos to Gaga-ooh-la-la for translating that lovely turquoise hue into her look in the form of a bobbed wig- i'll leave that to her "little monsters" to emulate I think!
