Many designers are often inspired by ballet costumes. The costumes that adorn the lithe bodies of ballerinas are often meticulous works of art, with every detail carefully considered and they are some of the most beautiful pieces aside from couture.
You will probably be familiar with The Summer Party, hosted by the English National Ballet at the breathtaking Orangery in Kensington. All celebrities, champagne and beautiful dance- if you have a spare £150, tickets are available here.
Even more excitingly, though, is the silent auction that is currently underway (terms and conditions apply) featuring beautiful tutus designed by some of the top designers of the moment and they are just a feast for the eyes.
