Young British design talent really is at is best for a long time. Names like Mary Katrantzou and Mark Fast are just proving how fresh and revolutionary British fashion really is. I loved both their collections and they are moving towards more wearable territory- particularly Katrantzou- while still holding onto that really unique aesthetic.
Christopher Kane's "liquid" collection has been very well received by the fashion elite, as it is truly different and beautifully crafted. I love the wavy PVC pockets that adorn beautifully cut shift dresses with that fun lava-lamp effect (inspired by Kane's childhood pencil case, would you believe?). A classic Kane collection that firms his place as one of the UK's best names
I've always championed Holly Fulton (Scottish talent at it's absolute best!) and her collection this season certainly had me ooh-ing and aah-ing. Click on the images for more detail, but the prints were just fantastically kitsch but still art-deco elegant. The lips-print trousers with the pearl embellished t-shirt was my favourite look, it just worked so well. And the colours were a breath of fresh air among some of the mossy shades at LFW.
