On the 7th of December, the British Fashion Awards named Pheobe Philo designer of the year!
We all saw that coming didn't we? Formerly at Chloé, Pheobe Philo has really come into her own as creative director and her recent collection (A/W 2010/2011) has been flying off shelves with everyone wanting a piece!
This is THE big event in the fashion calendar, and designer of the year is the most covetable title in fashion. Some of the other winners include the beautiful Lara Stone as model of the year and my absolute favourite new designer MeadhamKirchoff taking the prestigious Emerging Talent award for ready-to-wear. Alexa, as I expected, won the British style award which was voted for by the public.
The night was topped off with Samantha Cameron presenting a posthumous award to Alexander McQueen- the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion- which was collected by the new creative director Sarah Burton in McQueen's honour.
Obviously, the night was full of the fashion elite- so the outfits were gorgeous!
