I saw this little t-shirt on the Topshop website (www.topshop.com) and couldn't help but think of Balmain S/S 2011. The look was very distressed Americana with stars and stripes and leathers and sequins, it was the perfect mix of glam and grunge and was one of my favourite shows.
For a party look that screams next season pair the t-shirt with a little pair of muted-glitzy shorts, fishnet tights (rip holes in them if you dare!) and some lace up boots. And don't ruin it with a bouncy blow-dry and false eyelashes, play down your make-up and dishevel your hair (whatever it's length- see Carmen Kass' shaggy bob) with a salt spray- Bumble&Bumble is the ultimate!
Make the t-shirt even more authentic and quirky by adding safety pins. Balmainia mark two? I think so!
